In just 7 days, the 2021 Cops for Kids Ride will leave Kelowna for a ride more anticipated than ever. After a modified format in 2020 where riders completed their 1,000km from home, the excitement of being together as a team is in the air.

Riders were hand-selected from prior years, knowing that we wanted a smaller team with just 20 riders this year. The team will travel across the region as usual, but with current public health orders there will be no large community ceremonies, gatherings or stops to interact with the team. This is a harsh reality of the times we’re living in, but a sacrifice in order to complete the journey together as a team this year. Like the rest of the world, we’ve found a way to adapt in order to move forward, and so we ask for your continued support.

Making this ride possible, is a team of generous sponsors who got us to the start line. The 2021 ride is presented by the Impact Tomorrow Foundation again this year, with support from Platinum Sponsors – Boston Pizza Vernon, Harmony Honda, Prestige Hotels & Resorts, Stutters Restoration, Tamarack Centre, and the Thomas Alan Budd Foundation. From September 10-19, the team will be cycling across the region to raise the funds we continue to need to support local children. Year-round we accept applications for financial assistance for children who require transportation to medical care outside their home community, emergency dental treatment, medical supplies, learning tools & mobility aids. We will miss meeting these families when we enter each community, but know that we’re doing the right thing to keep our team and our communities safe. We hope to hear from families through our website and social media channels.
