Meals, and miles, and a bear. Oh my!

Cranbrook, BC → Salmon Arm, BC— Today was a day for a little sightseeing for our team!

From the mountain tops of Cranbrook to the incredible peaks surrounding Revelstoke, we were treated to nothing but clear skies, sunshine, and some absolutely breathtaking scenery along the way.

And, of course, you never know what you might encounter out on the road… Today, we even caught a quick glimpse of a black bear who seemed pretty interested in watching us ride by! It was definitely one of those “Can I pet that dawwwg?!” moments. IYKYK

After a stop to take the official team photo at Fort Steele, we were off! We made a stop in Golden to say hello to some amazing kids at Lady Grey School before heading over to the RCMP detachment, where we were treated to lunch provided by Mr. Mike’s in Cranbrook and some incredible hospitality from the detachment.

After refuelling with more donuts that we didn’t need, we packed up the bikes and made our way toward Revelstoke, and it wasn’t long before the bikes were coming back out and we were hitting the road again, making our way toward 3 Valley Gap for dinner.

Every pedal stroke  continues to bring us closer to our goal, but it’s the people we meet along the way that make this journey so special. The smiles, the stories, the communities, and most importantly, the kids remind us exactly why we ride.
