Almost There….
This morning, we woke in Kamloops wondering if the rain had stopped from last night and thankfully it had. After a quick breakfast outside of the MoHo, and a thank you to the Prestige for hosting us again, we headed off to the Wildlife Park to start our day.
After a short warm-up, it was up the hill and we made our way through Monte Lake towards Falkland where we stopped at the detachment for a picnic lunch from Sedo’s Deli in Salmon Arm. Making our way to Vernon, the day had a headwind, along with some sun and rain all at different times of the day before our arrival to the Vernon detachment where we met with some of our local dignitaries and families who have been helped by Cops for Kids over the last year. It was great to meet these families and to know that we are helping them out when they really need the financial assistance.
The night ended at the home of former rider James and his wife Corrina, where we all received our annual challenge coin with a picture of our former Little Ambassador Rylie. These challenge coins are always an important mommento, but this one is special and will remind us of why we ride.
Tomorrow we will ride back to Kelowna to end another year. It has been a great year with a really great group of people and it will be hard to all go our separate ways for another year. I look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
