Day 1

Day 1

Today was the first day of 10 and as we left the Sandman Hotel, after an excellent breakfast, and super nice rooms we hit the open road. The cloudy skies tried to dim our excitement but we powered out of the Kelowna and over the bridge. One small mechanical issue and we landed in West Kelowna. The warmth of the Valley First Credit Union team were a very welcome sight for our first stop. A quick change to warmer clothes and the of course the sun popped out to make a great day AMAZING. The next stop was lunch and the Gasthaus put out and huge feast (many thanks) and then on to Summerland. A sunny ride with a cool breeze and The Valley First Credit team again meet us with a warm smile, some super apples, and baked goods at the Cherry Lane mall where we finished up the day. We meet the most amazing Kids and their families during the day. Hugs, tears and stories that will stay with me forever.

The bus trip to Osoyoos and finally CAKE!! The good folks at the Elks Club put on a feast and on top of that also present the Cops For Kids with a massive donation. Many thanks. The Bike Barn in Penticton bailed out one of the riders with a quick repair, and the folks at Spirt Ridge set us all up in some amazing rooms. Day one done, met some super kids,and their super families.

Day two …so looking forward to what’s next.
