Day 4 West Kootenay Journey

We started another fantastic day of riding in Castlegar this morning and were escorted by the Castlegar Fire Dept down Columbia Ave. We were treated to a great breakfast put on by the Castlegar Legion  Ladies. Our journey continued onto Nelson where we were greeted by the Nelson Police Dept and proceeded through town to the Nelson RCMP Detachment. There we were introduced to 3 local families who are receiving support from the Cops for Kids Charitable Foundation. Being a new rider this year, it has really touched my heart to see the good the funding that we have  raised goes to those great kids and families who are in need of our support. We had a great lunch donated by Save On Foods and hosted by the Nelson RCMP staff.

After lunch we were then off to ride the scenic north shore east of Nelson out to Balfour. The evening dinner was at Leo’s Pizza in Nelson, the food and service was awesome. Incredible day…..off to Creston tomorrow:)
