It’s Been a Week

Day 7: what is usually a travel day for the team where we can rest our legs with a van ride from Cranbrook to Salmon Arm had some changes this year.

This year we did two community landings.  The first was in Golden where we rode from the giant paddle and about 30k later landed at the Golden RCMP detachment. We  had the opportunity to meet by  a couple of families and were able to enjoy our lunches from our friend Ted from Save On Foods.  We were treated to some baked good from the Golden Bakery.

We loaded back into the van and drove to Revelstoke where again we were greeted by a couple families and then had the opportunity to ride from Revelstoke to 3 Valley Gap.  This was as sun was setting behind the mountains. I think we all were in the awe of the beauty that surrounded us.

The amazing views, the incredible stories of strength from the kids and families made our minor pain and suffering worth it.
