A Start Under Smokey Skies

Great first day on the ride today!! Started off with a great breakfast at the Sandman in Kelowna, followed by some heartfelt stories and speeches from community members. Then off to West Kelowna for a quick stop and gathering. Then peddled into Peachland where the Peachland Lions handed over a very generous donation. Then a fantastic lunch at the Gasthaus! It was a struggle not to eat too much… popped into Summerland to meet some special people, fixed a few tires and then off to Penticton to end the day with more special people.

We finished the day with a glorious home cooked meal and the best cake I’ve ever tasted at the Elks 436 in Osoyoos. Great day! Smokey but bearable.
