Tactical Repositioning

by Nick Reimann

Today was a much needed day of rest for the cycling team, and a hard day for the support crew while they do the driving. It’s been a week since we all met in Kelowna to start our journey, and this morning we woke not wanting to leave the comfort of Elizabeth Lake Lodge or our dear friends George & Rachel.

Team breakfast was at ABC Country in Cranbrook, and then after a team photo at the traditional Fort Steele, we drove all the way to Salmon Arm in the support vehicles brought along to transport the team. A much needed rest for the cyclists who have been pushing together for a week.

During our drive, we were able to stop in Golden for a picnic lunch provided by SaveOn Foods in Cranbrook before venturing on to our final destination of Salmon Arm. The weather looks cool and wet for tomorrow, so we’re nervously thinking about our journey to Kamloops in the rain.
